I have the honour to draw Your Lordship's

attention to a somewhat unfortunate oversight in connection with the appointment of the Superintendent of the Kai Tak Aerodrome. I would refer Your Lordship to Mr. Southor's despatch No.136 of 6th March, 1930, and more particularly to the first paragraph of the

Particulars of the Post enclosure 2 therein, which

reads; -

-

"Duties of Office and qualifications required "for their performance:-

Administration of Local Ordinance pertaining "to the control of flying and flying machines, "and of Air Navigation Act, 1920 and all rules

"and orders made under that Act. Control and

"maintenance of Aerodrome, inspection of aircraft

"for certificates of Airworthiness, examination

"of personnel for issue of Certificates of "Competency as Pilots or Engineers.

"Candidates should be under 35 years of Age and "preferably unmarried, and should possess a

"Pilot's and a Ground Engineer's Certificate."
